Tragically taken from us on October 25, 2012.
He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Yannick; father Darren; 4 brothers, Boots, Sean and Brandon and twin TJ; brothers by choice, Dustin and Coltin; and cousin by choice Jodie; grandparents, Alain and Louise; as well as extended family and many friends.
A celebration of AJ’s life will be held at the SOUTH VANCOUVER ISLAND RANGERS, 3498 Luxton Rd., on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at 3:00 pm.
AJ touched many lives around him and loved many.

On ne peut pas imaginer toute la souffrance qui vous habite suite à cette dure épreuve, on en a une petite idée toutefois et sachez que nos pensées se tournent vers vous. Si seulement ça peut vous enlever un peu de douleur ce sera tant mieux. Nous continuerons à penser à vous régulièrement. Colleen Nelthorpe My daughter Tyger and I are so deeply sorry for you Yannick, TJ, Brandon and Sean. We would do anything to bring AJ back for you. Tyger told me AJ was just a real sweetheart. We want comfort and peace for you and beautiful thoughts of AJ always – he really touched us and obviously many people, this hopefully soothes you.
Take care of each other and boys, take care of your Mom, she will forever need you.

Heidi, Tyler, Lauren, Dexter & Emmett Hodgins We knew A.J. through baseball, for years and years — he was lots of fun, and we have a lot of good memories. We’re stunned by this tragedy, and thinking of all of you, his brothers and mom. To all of you, and Yannick especially, we wish you peace.

The Martin-Sullivans (John, Molly, Casey, Cooper) Although we don’t know your family very well, my son Casey and I came to know the twins through baseball at the National Little League park. AJ and TJ were always favourites when they umpired games that Casey played. They are special kids and it shows.
To Yannick and the boys, please accept our sincere condolences, I have no way of knowing how much losing a child or brother could possibly hurt, but I hope you can take some solace in knowing what a good kid you raised, and what a great brother you had. AJ always had a smile on his face when I saw him, he was polite, funny, and obviously had a great nature about him. We can’t be at the memorial service, but our thoughts are with you all.

The Marhues My sincere condolences to the Wakeling family at such a difficult time. The injustice of losing someone so dear and so young is truly heart breaking. My brother-in-law wrote a song when I lost my dad and I think some of the lyrics apply to the affect AJ had on our lives “here is where we are when he’s gone, but he’s made here a wonderful place to be”. AJ made our lives so happy. Thank you for blessing us with your incredible spirit AJ – it will live on with us and we will honour your memory – we miss you and will see you again in heaven.

Don Moore We’ve known AJ and his family for 5 years and I have had the pleasure of coaching the 4 boys in baseball. We considered the Wakeling clan as part of our extended family, and the twins spent a lot of time at our home. our heart goes out to Yannick, Sean, Brandon, and TJ. Aj will always be a part of your lives , and ours forever and we will miss him dearly. Rest in paradise AJ and keep watching over your family.

Claire Désy Le Seigneur a vu sa souffrance sans guérison possible, il l a entouré de ses bras en lui disant “Viens à moi”. Il a souffert en silence en faisant face à sa douleur avec tellement de courage jusqu à la toute fin.
Il ne méritait pas de vivre cette douleur alors le Seigneur lui a donné le repos.
Son Jardin est le plus beau et seulement les meilleurs s y retrouvent.
Lorsque vous l avez vu dormir, entouré de paix et sans douleur, vous l avez laissé partir pour ne plus jamais le voir souffrir.

Luc Normandin and Family Dear Yannick, Louise,and the Family. Since last week, i was not able to find words than can express my sadness. The distance did not stop my tears. Cherie LaBrash and Family Yannick and Famly, Words cannot even begin to express how deeply saddened and hurt we are for this great loss you are sufferring from.
