Alan Hutchinson, 77, of Victoria, BC, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at 3:30 am at Mount. St. Mary Hospital.
He was born to the late Alan and Nellie Hutchinson, August 12, 1936, in Lashburn, Saskatchewan. Alan graduated from Victoria High School in 1954. He served proudly in the RCMP for 22 years. After his service with the RCMP, he worked for Traffic and Security Services at the University of British Columbia until he retired in 1986.
Alan enjoyed spending time doing yard work, home improvement projects, visiting his family and socializing with his friends. He also loved to travel and ride his bicycle and motorcycle.
Alan is survived by his loving wife, Natalia; two children, Mara Toman (Daren), of Westerville, Ohio and Ann Heavyside (Ken), of Vancouver, BC; four grandchildren, Dara and Alan Toman and Kyra and Dean Heavyside; sister, Margaret Minty (Frank); and nephews Alan and Jim.
A Visitation will be held at 7:00 pm Thursday, October 31, 2013 at McCall’s Funeral Home, Johnson at Vancouver Street. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, November 1, 2013 at McCall’s Funeral Home. Condolences may be offered to the family below.
