Alban Francis McAuley, how grateful I am to have known him and to have been his assistant for so many years. His capacity to love his family, create and maintain deep friendships and be the embodiment of a devilish sense of humour made him one of the most unforgettable people I have ever known. He was a humble man who blushed if you hugged him, not even realizing how enormously huggable he was. He was an incredibly decent man and we mourn his passing but will forever be grateful for his time with us. Phyllis and family, thank you for sharing him. Please know we share your sorrow.

  • Laurel Williams

    Dear Phyllis and family
I’m sorry to hear of the passing of Al. I never met Al in person but did talk to him on the phone when he wanted me to pass a message onto Phyllis when she was at work. Al always spoke so softly and was a gentle soul who just from the few things that he would say you knew that he loved all of you to the end of the earth and back. Know that he will always be with you in your hearts.
My sincere thoughts and prayers are with you.

  • Joanne Crewe

    Mrs. McAuley and family

I was very sorry to read of Al’s passing. I didn’t know that he was ill. My husband Richard and I met Al several years ago, as Dick had an insurance policy with Al. He always kept in touch with Dick over the years.
When Dick passed away July 31/07. Al processed the papers right away, he was very helpful to me. I know if Dick were still here, he would have been sadden by Al’s passing too.
Al was a very nice and kind man, and very well thought of by all that knew him.
My deepest sympathy to you and your family.

    Joanne Crewe
