ELLITHORP, Alberta Flora (July 25, 1910 – August 30, 2006) Our precious Mother, Gramma and Great Gramms (G.G.) passed away peacefully on August 30, 2006 at the grand old age of 96 years. Predeceased by her husband, Jessie Arthur Ellithorp. Alberta was born and raised in Barrhead, Alberta and served during World War II in the Royal Canadian Air Force. After the war Mom returned to Barrhead and worked at Kings Mercantile Store and The Toronto Dominion Bank. After years of hard work and farming with Jessie they retired to Victoria, BC in 1963.
Survived by her daughter, Betty (George) Adams; granddaughters, Christine Adams, Charmaine (Robert) Krieg of Everett, Washington; and great grandchildren, Stephen Adams, Sarah Kreig and Samantha Adams.
We know Mom is now painting a picture or tending her flowers in peace. Rest now Mom you have darn well earned it. You will always be in our hearts Mom, we will all miss you very much G.G.
We would like to thanks all of the staff at Oak Bay Lodge on Three Maple Special Care for their support and care of G.G. (Their Alberta Rose). In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer?s Association would be much appreciated by Alberta and her family.
Funeral Service will be held at McCALL BROS. FAMILY CHAPEL, Johnson and Vancouver Streets on Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at 11:00 a.m.
