“Win Davies”

Win passed away peacefully on February 21st 2012 at Victoria General hospital with her husband and children at her side, following a tragic fall while gardening in Yuma, Arizona. Win was born in Banff, Scotland and after her family moved to Rugby, England, Win met and married Islwyn. Opportunities to travel and live in many places were to come in the next 49 years and with her family, Win had many wonderful times living and visiting places we had only dreamed of when we first met. Win was a quiet, gentle person well loved by everyone. She will be greatly missed by her husband Islwyn with whom she had a deep love relationship that will last forever. Win will also be missed by her daughter Jackie, son Andrew, four grandchildren “the Boys” Ben and Chad from San Diego, Chesley and Luke from Calgary. Win is survived by six siblings, Jean, Helen, George, Francis and Brian in Rugby, England and Anne in Alicante, Spain. Win had many friends all around the world and she will be sadly missed by all. Many thanks to the doctors and nurses at Victoria General who looked after Win and helped us through this difficult period. Thank you to all the doctors, nurses, flight crews and paramedics, at the Yuma Medical Center Arizona and San Diego UCSD Trauma Center for their valiant efforts to bring Win back to us.

Private funeral services will be held on 3rd March 2012, followed by a memorial service in Rugby, England later this year. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice. Condolences may be offered to the family below.
