PURCELL, Alice on February 10, 2006. “Aunt” Alice Mary Purcell (nee Chester) sadly left us after a two year battle with cancer. Alice, Victoria born, graduated from Vic High and lived all her life in the City of Gardens, she loved Victoria and challenged anyone who dared criticize her city home.

Alice worked at Aaron’s Pharmacy for some years before joining Yorkshire Trust on her graduation, where she remained for more than thirty years, eventually retiring after it became Central Guaranty, after that she continued to work in the income tax preparation business until 2005. Alice maintained close relationships and friendships with so many people over the years. She leaves to mourn her those who knew and loved her, brothers, Bob and Dick Chester; nieces, Leslie and Candice; nephew Tim; god children, Ken and Kathy Beattie; childhood friends, Lou Stacey, Mary Duggan and travelling buddy and friend of many years, Peggy Conrad; dear friend of her youth, Diane Beattie, having predeceased her.
