SDRAKAS – Athena (our Yiayia) passed away peacefully in the presence of her family in Saanichton on August 22, 2004 at the age of 80 years. She was born in Ellinopyrgos, Karditsa, Greece on March 15, 1924. She will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by her 3 sons Chris (Maria ), Leonidas (Vasiliki) Thomas (Noella), and her 2 daughters Litsa (Marino), Elpida (Vasilis) and her 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was a devoted wife to our Father for 60 years and suffered a big loss when our beloved Father died last November. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
A visitation will be held at McCall Bros., Johnson & Vancouver Streets on Sunday, August 29th evening from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Greek Orthodox Church “Panayia Ipapanti” at 4648 Elk Lake on Monday August the 30th at 11:30 am. Interment to follow at Royal Oak Burial Park. A reception will take place at Theo?s Place Bouquet Hall in Sidney.
