The last time Bernie came over he could not stay for coffee since he had to pick up Calvin. We both agreed on “next time” not realizing that ,sometimes there is no next time.
We as a family have great memories of Bernie showing up every weekday at 8.30 for 3 months to help us make the house liveable. Even when everything else fell apart or people did not show, there was always Bernie on time. He was always ready with a smile and some reasurance that everything would be ok.
Our thoughts are with you Sharon, Calvin and Emily in this difficult time. He was a great man and we loved him!

It’s with great sadness that I heard about Bernie’s passing. Although we lost touch, as many do over the years I still have very fond memories of our childhood hikes in the woods, snowshoeing, fishing, building tree houses or just riding our bikes around the neighborhood. Theses are memories I’ll always cherish. Bernie was a great guy and friend. To Sharon, Calvin, Emily and all the Cormier family my deepest and sincere sympathies. He will never be forgotten.

My deepest sympathy to Sharon, Calvin and Emily, and to the Cormier’s. I knew Bernie through 2 connections. My wife, Taryn, is Sharon’s cousin, and I knew Bernie’s brother Robert through the Teen Encounter program back east. Although I didn’t know Bernie well, I felt a connection whenever we did get together. He was such a warm and accepting guy. I’ll always remember the great time we had together in Edmonton when Sharon and Bernie visited Taryn and I in Edmonton. Very sorry for your loss.
