Bryce was born September 11, 1997 in Victoria, BC. Bryce went to be with our Lord and Saviour on July 13, 2018. Predeceased by his Uncle Graham; survived by his parents John and Patty; brother Jared; and sisters Kirstin and Rachel.
Bryce had a love for motocross since the age of 3 – where that came from only He knows. Bryce was on his first motorbike at age 6 and started racing on the Vancouver Island tracks at 8 years old. #80 will be forever his race number.
After high school, he started working full time and was able to enjoy some travelling – heading off to Japan and Costa Rica – he had so much more planned. He was preparing to go to YWAM-DTS in Perth, Australia in January 2019. He announced he was going to sell his bikes to help pay for the trip. Bryce had an awesome sense of humour, a love for adventure and travelling wherever he could. In the last 6 months, he developed a passion for Jiu Jitsu.
Even though Bryce had a couple of rough years and was by no means perfect, he had a love for the Lord and strived to live for Him. Bryce is now in Heaven riding the best race track and seeing the world with Jesus by his side. One day we will see him again, but this time his hair will be brushed and perfect, his teeth will be brushed and white and his room will be spotless.
Bryce was so loved by his grandparents Don and Nita Currie, John and Verna Petkau; and all his uncles, aunts and cousins; and of course, all the very good friends Bryce had around him. He will be deeply missed and we all have awesome memories.
Thank you to the Nanaimo RCMP and the Nanaimo Regional Hospital for looking after Bryce until we were able to bring him home to Victoria.
To celebrate Bryce, there will be a service at:
Lambrick Park Church

Judie Hosie/ Camille Stone Dear Rachel and the Currie Family,
I am very saddened to hear of your brother’s death. Though I did not know him, we know what you and your family are going through at this very difficult time, having lost a son and brother as well. Camille and I would like to offer our support to you all in any way that we can. When you are ready, we have books on grief – some very good and some not so. We’ve read them all. The one thing that we do know is that you will see him again, and in time will be able to remember and love him as he was and not in your sadness of his death. Please know that we grieve with you and hold you in our hearts and prayers. Nothing helps and everything helps, know that you are loved as he was and he will be missed always. Rachel, call anytime, you have a friend that knows what you are going through. Camille Stone, Judie Hosie, and family

Colin Morgan I cannot fathom the pain your family must be going through. He made a connection with so many people/at the races. Seems like yesterday since AX 05/06 and those cold early mornings in Chilliwack. He was always such a breath of fresh air. He could always make us laugh. I’m going to miss his sarcasm and our meaningless smack talk. He was one of the good ones and will be dearly missed. Our deepest sympathies. Colin, Sarah, Christian and Owen.

Diane Mann Dear John and Patty, Jared, Kirstin and Rachel, There are no words to take away the profound pain in the loss of your son and brother. Although I never had the privilege of teaching Bryce at PCS, I certainly knew who he was! The boys would all play rambunctiously out on the playground, loud and having fun! Bryce was always in the middle of all the smiles and laughter! Patty, I often spoke with you about all the activities your boys were involved in! You spent a lot of time every weekend at the motocross track. You were supporting two boys who had a love for the bikes. I remember when Jared was in my class he could hardly wait for Fridays and competitions. He was always proud of Bryce. Rachel would dread having to go, watch and sit! That is until she discovered horses! Jared and Rachel, I remember you with fondness in my Grade 3 classroom. You kids all had a zest for life, lots of curiosity about the world, a passionate energy, a sense of fun that needed to be out of the classroom and in the great outdoors. I am praying for your family. Bryce just went home to be with the Lord earlier than anyone expected!

Bree De Bakker I offer my condolences to the Curry family, friends, loved ones. I am so so so sorry for your loss. I was at PCS with Bryce from grade 10-12. He was one of the first people to talk to me when I came there and he could always put a smile on my face. With many classes together he made them more bearable with his humour and smile. He was such a wonderful person inside and out. His laugh, smile, and big heart will be dearly missed. If there is anything I can do please let me know. Rest In peace Bryce, you were taken way to soon.
