    To David’s Family:
I was very sorry to hear of David’s sudden passing. He was a welcome addition to our church family in Qualicum Beach.
Rev. Phil Spencer announced the sad news this morning (Jan.13) in church at the 9 a.m. service. He talked fondly of David – and many of us knew David even though he attended the 11 a.m. service.
I looked forward to our chats at the 10:30 a.m. coffee session. I was on the Stewardship Team and then Board Chair, and David always had interesting ideas and perspectives on what we should or should not be doing!
We will all miss his presence very much. I am thankful that I was able to get to know him while he attended St. Stephen’s.
Please be assured that loving thoughts are with you in your time of sorrow. May God bless you,
    Susan Lee

Dear Dorothy, Allana, Monica, Chas and Shannon,

I was so sorry to read in the Times Colonist that David had passed on. My family and your family were neighbours many years ago when we lived on Leabrook Place in Gordon Head, and I hold fond memories of your family, and remember “Mr. Moore” as being such a nice man and a fabulous father. I remember how he loved “Skippy”, your lovely, wooly dog, and how he liked to walk Skippy around the neighbourhood.
Please know that my thoughts are with you right now, and that you find comfort with your family and friends.
    Take care …. Linda Prowse
