BARNES,Christina Denise born August 11, 1971 passed away April 18, 2010
Born in Port Alberni, Chris was a feisty, strong spirited woman. She was loved for her sense of humour and attitude towards life. She leaves behind her teenage son Kyle and her 4 year old daughter Kate-Lynn Marie, along with all of her beloved friends and family.
Predeceased by her mother Bonnie Johnson in April of 2007, she took it as an opportunity for growth. Starting to resist her agoraphobia and beginning to live life more fully, she was diagnosed with a metastat on her adrenal gland and finally returned to the hospital. After fighting for several weeks she succumbed to her 6 year battle with cancer.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ronald McDonald House charity of B.C., 4116 Angus Drive, Vancouver, BC V6J 4H9 (604)736-2957 in her name.
Christina’s Celebration of Life will be held at McCall Bros. Floral Chapel, Johnson and Vancouver Streets on Saturday May 1, 2010 at 2:00 pm.

I will miss our conversations, stormy or good. I’ll miss her cute chuckle and her killer blue eyes. My condolences goes out to the family and friends.

Christina you will be missed !! You were a great mother and a great friend , It was a pleasure to know you., wish i could of said goodbye . Now you can RIP with no more pain , and be with your mother, and please don’t worry about your kids they will be well looked after . Love you Linda
Chrissy you showed so much courage and strength, from your first diagnisis, to your last few days here on earth. You never complained and always had a possitive attitude. I will miss you always.
Auntie chrissy may you rest in peace as we all remember you and i promise to keep kyle and kate-lynn content and watch them and help them as much as i can. Youll will never be forgotten. “I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day. Although it’s difficult today to see beyond the sadness,
keep looking back in memory because it will help comfort you in the future.
