With love in our hearts and tears in our eyes, we announce the peaceful passing of our mother Donna.  We are comforted to know she will be reunited with her beloved family departed before her.  Predeceased by her loving husband Ron, her father and mother George and Grace Hunter, brothers, George and Arthur Hunter, sister, Bernice Moser, granddaughter, Jessica Adams and Donna’s first-born son Royce James Adams.

Donna was born and resided in Victoria BC, for her entire 83 years where she raised her family.  Left behind to cherish her memory are her sons Terry (Roberta),  Robert (Julie), daughter Darlene (Don), grandchildren Tyler (Jennifer), Danielle (Josh), Bryce (Alex), Jeffrey (Krista), Steven, Emma, 8 great grandchildren with one on the way, as well as her nieces and nephews.

With her ever ready smile and laughter Donna was a true friend to many and loved by all.  She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all in her social circle.  Mom was looking forward to the new Legion opening with the recommencement of The Meat Draw and social gatherings.  A Celebration of Life will be announced and held at that time.

“When tomorrow comes and I don’t open my eyes, know I was ready and said my good-byes.  Shed your tears then get on with intent sharing in memories of a life well spent”

Our sincere condolences on seeing that Donna passed in the Colonist earlier this week.
My father, Jack Albhouse knew her and your family way back in the 1930’s as he lived opposite them on Kingston Street and used to play with Donna’s brothers George and Arthur ( my dad is 90 , born 1931 and is at Berwick retirement home now ) and they were about same age. He recalls them being his first real friends- meeting after school daily and sharing candy . He does recall Donna being born and playing with her also and remembers her parents too. Victoria was a much different place then- simpler times . I wanted to just reach out on his behalf of mine to say we’re very sorry for your loss – you have wonderful blood lines though and a loving family to thank for her wonderful time so keep that in your thoughts. Kindest regards- Sean Albhouse
