Dorothy Morahan passed away August 20th, 2013 at her residence. She went to be with her beloved husband, Barney, who predeceased her. Dorothy is survived by her son, Rory, and her grandson, Rowan.
Dorothy has had a wonderful and interesting life with lots of love, a wonderful family and wonderful friends. Born on June 7th, 1918 in Hong Kong, she enjoyed a privileged early life and travelled widely. During the Second World War, she worked with Naval Intelligence in Vancouver, BC.
ln 1946, Dorothy marred Barney and returned to Hong Kong, later moving to England and then returning to Canada in 1958. She has enjoyed her family, golf and travel in her beautiful 95 years.
She is loved and missed by her son and grandson. Special mention to her good friend,Linda Cook and to all those wonderful friends she has known throughout her long and happy life.
A celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held at McCall’s Funeral Chapel at 10:00 a.m. on the 26th day of August, 2013. Condolences may be offered to the family below.
