Passed away at the age of 42. Survived by mother, Catherine Woodward; brothers, Dave and Darren Whittier; sister, Joanne Whittier and many nieces and nephews. Catherine, you are in my thoughts and have been continuously since Suzanne discovered the announcement of the service at McColls.
The service was a beautiful tribute to Doug and I was both very glad and very sad to have been there. Your beautiful face as you described your days with your son touched me deeply. Let me know if I can offer anything further than my love and encompassment in the days ahead. Your friend, Jim Craven
I had the pleasure of working with Doug over the past couple of years, and his intelligence, kind nature and good humour will be sorely missed. I regret that I’m not in Victoria to attend the service, but my heart is will Doug’s loved ones.
