Ed was always an officer and a gentleman. He deserved and received the respect of his shipmates and all Regular Force and Naval Reserve personnel. It was a highlight of mine to be a party to the submission that resulted in his award of the Order of Military Merit.
Vanetia and I offer our sincere condolences to all his family and friends.

  • LCDR (Ret.) George Gibson

Ed was the sort of friend you were always glad to meet, to share a drink, and to reminisce. One always knew who was in command when it came to naval matters. He will always be remembered as
a man with a fine family, with who these words will have meaning.
    George and Joan Gibson.
