Eileen passed away peacefully at Oak Bay Lodge on July 8, 2013 where she went to be with her Lord. She was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on October 8, 1934. She was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Anna Archer. She is lovingly remembered by Ruth and Robert Katzer, Russell, Rob and Lee-Ann (Donald) Venn Corey and Michael. She will be sadly missed by many members of the Catholic Church in which she devoted her life too.
Prayers will be offered from McCall’s Downtown, Johnson & Vancouver Streets at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2013. Funeral services will be held at St. Andrew’s Cathedral, View and Blanshard St. at 12 Noon on Friday, July 12, 2013. Interment to follow at Royal Oak Burial. Following the interment, a reception will be held at McCall’s Sequoia Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive. Flowers gratefully declined. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice. My condolences to the Archer family. Interestingly enough that my mother, Thelma Randall, passed away on the same day as Eileen. We knew Eileen and her mother Anna as they lived for many years directly across Orillia Street from my mother’s parents home, Elmo and Jessie Meiss. They were always so good to all of us and we had continued to exchange Christmas blessings each year. She will be missed!
