February 25, 1915 – July 17, 2012
It is with great sadness that the family announces that our Mom, Grandma and Great Grandma passed away peacefully on July 17, 2012, at the Gorge Road Hospital, in her 98th year.
Betty was born in Hull, England, and moved to Victoria in 1946, after the War, with her husband Chuck.
She was an award-winning ballroom dancer, a life-master in the game of bridge, and loved entertaining. She will always be remembered for her baking (best shortbread cookies and pies ever!) and was doing the family’s Christmas baking well into her 90’s.
Predeceased by her husband Chuck in 1975, she is survived by her daughter Linda (Lorenzo), son Peter (Sandi), grandchildren Melanie (Derek), Brian (Kara), Kalina and Jake, and great grandchildren Alyshia, Kailey, Bryson and Owen.
Graveside service to be held at Royal Oak Burial Park at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 26, 2012. Reception to follow at the home of Melanie.
Condolences may be offered to the family below.

Lois Pepper Mason Linda and family,
Thinking of you at the passing of your lovely mom. I remember being welcomed into your home by her during our early years at Cedar Hill School. My mom passed away in December and I still miss her everyday. I know you will, too, but trust that you are comforted knowing what a long and full life she lived.

Linda and family
I am so sorry to read about your mom’s recent passing. I know how difficult this time must be on you and your family, as my Dad
passed away last year and I still think of him often. I feel very fortunate to have known your Mom as we were growing up.
