Passed away after a lengthy illness on August 31, 2011 at the age of 80. Born in Horizon, SK. Predeceased by her parents and two infant brothers. Survived by her sisters Mary Milne, Louise Catchpole and Thelma Geisler; nieces and nephews Steve, Rob, David, Larry, Cindy, Sheri, Rick, Darren, Shawn and Candice; and their families and cousins.
Visitation will be held at McCALL BROS., Johnson and Vancouver Streets, on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held at McCALL BROS. FAMILY CHAPEL, on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. with a reception to follow in the McCall’s Family Centre. Carol levins Mary, As one of Betty’s caregivers I watched as you provided so much love and tender meaningful moments for her. You were tireless in your role as sister to make sure Betty looked as fresh and bright as circumstances allowed. Betty was very special to me and as a result you and I got to know each other. I looked forward to your visits and the big hug you always had for me. You and Betty will remain forever in my heart and I am naming a spot in my garden “Betty and Mary’s Bean Patch”. You generously shared some seeds with me and we have enjoyed many delicous meals that included your beans. That’s a wonderful legacy. Thank you. Carol.
