Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on February 15, 2012 in Victoria B.C. Betty was born in Victoria on August 29, 1922, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Sylvester Paul. What an amazing dynasty Jim and Betty have produced and you are all the people you are today in many ways because of their very fine values that they shared.
Your house in Adel, England, was my second home and Betty was, most definitely, my second Mum.
She was such a serene, generous, kind and smiling lady.
When you emigrated to Canada I was devastated to lose you…..I have that same feeling now.
I am so sorry that you have lost such a special Mum and Nana.
I hope you share more laughter than tears in remembrance of such a lovely lady on Thursday, I wish I could be with you for lots of hugs. X

I was so very sorry to hear of dear Betty’s passing , from Paul.
Dick and I shared many special times with Jim and Betty when they lived in England and I have lots of lovely memories which all make me smile.
Betty was warm, kind , generous and a quietly strong lady and the matriarch of a wonderful family, which we have always missed.
Since emigrating to Canada ,whenever we met up, it was as if we had never been apart.
I feel for you all, so much , at this sad time.
Very best wishes and much love,
    Jean. X

Our family was very sorry to hear about the loss of our Aunty Betty.

We will fondly remember all of the family gatherings with Aunty Betty and her famous bean salad.

Aunty Betty was a keeper of the family history and I am thankful that she took the time to share our family’s interesting stories.

Memories of holidays, family visits and “On to June” celebrations will always include Aunty Betty.
