December 28, 1913 – January 7, 2011

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rose. Born December 28, 1913 as the first caucasion born to Albert and Rose Sadler at Jordan River, BC where her father worked for BC Electric at that time. She attended Lampson Street and South Park Schools. She resided in the Western Community for approximately 55 years. Rose was predeceased by her loving husband, Robert. Together they had eight children; Eleanor (Chris), Marie (Ralph), Frank, Albert (Connie), Alice (Bob), Sandy (Jim), Janice (Bud), Velda (Ken); also many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; also great-great-grandchildren. She loved travelling, gardening and feeding wild animals.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 14, 2011 at 1:00 pm in MCCALL BROS. FLORAL CHAPEL, Johnson & Vancouver Streets. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rose’s memory would be appreciated to the Royal Alexandria Solarium for Children, 2400 Arbutus Road, Victoria, BC V8N 1V7.     I have been doing some family research. And came across this. Sadly when my grannie passed away, I was not aware of it, until it was to late. No body was in contact with me… I have been to visit my Grandparents off and on.
