Born February 4, 1931 in The Pas, Manitoba. Passed away April 11, 2010 at Victoria Hospice after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer. Lee was predeceased by her daughter, Brenda, who was tragically taken from us in 2001. She is survived by her husband of nearly 62 years, Art; son, Ron (Debbie), Hope, B.C.; grandchildren, Shawn (Kim) Waters, Leanne (Scott) Dempsey; great-grandchildren, Jordan and Taylor Waters, Christopher Ashlee and Patrick Dempsey; sister, Carol (Ken) Jones; nephew, Bob Jones; nieces, Pam Jones and Tina (Bob) Bell and many close friends. Lee was a member of the O.O.R.P. and Britania Branch R.C.L. Upon Art’s retirement, they purchased an RV and travelled the Island and Oregon Coast and spent the winters in Yuma, Arizona, where they made many lasting friendships. The family want to thank Dr. Walter Chow for his many years of excellent care as well as the wonderful caring nurses and caregivers for their support and care during Lee’s illness.
A Celebration of Life will be held in MCCALL BROS. FLORAL CHAPEL, Johnson & Vancouver Streets, on Monday, April 19, 2010 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Victoria Hospice in Elsie’s memory would be appreciated.
