Eric passed away in his home in Saanich B.C. on February 22, 2024.  He was born on November 15, 1953 in Victoria B.C.

Eric is survived by his beloved children, Cara (Harold) Williams, Matthew (Christine), Patricia (Andrew) and Graham (Kristine); grandchildren, Lily, Macey and Rosa Williams, Jakob and Mia Obee.  His kind heart, laughter and thoughtfulness will be missed by all of his family and friends.

Eric was the youngest of three brothers (survived by Les and Bruce) to be born in Victoria where he lived almost his entire life.  He shared many stories of his childhood spent roaming the beaches of Gonzales Bay.  He was talented with his hands and had a long career as a dental technician. He will be remembered for the many beautiful smiles he created, teeth he repaired, and his caring approach with clients and colleagues.  As a hobby, he loved to craft wooden toys, boats, household decor and delicate jewelry for his family and friends.

One of Eric’s biggest accomplishments was being a father and he felt lucky to have four children. He was always there to support them and instilled in all of them a love of the outdoors.  He spent countless hours with his family camping, biking, boating and exploring the back roads on Vancouver Island. Eric is remembered as a supportive father, adoring grandfather, and as a genuinely kind human being.

A celebration of Eric’s life will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024, at the Royal Victoria Yacht Club, 3475 Ripon Rd. from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.  Condolences and memories can be shared below.

    Les, Bruce and families;

    Sincere condolences. As a Harling Point boy, Eric holds a special place in my heart; the beach, forts, baseball at Quimper Park, and Chinese Cemetery. We had it all.

    I’m sorry for your loss.
