Erna was born in Leutkirch, Germany on October 20, 1934 and passed away in Victoria, BC on May 7, 2012. She leaves behind her son, Walter of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia as well as many friends in the Victoria area.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at MCCALL BROS. FLORAL CHAPEL, Johnson & Vancouver Streets in Victoria, BC with Stephen Swift officiating. Cremation. In lieu of flowers donations to the SPCA would be appreciated. Condolences may be offered to the family below.

Paul Graafen and Ingrid Graafen and family My father, my family and myself are so sorry to hear about Erna. She was a remarkable lady. She had a wonderful sense of humour and great positive energy to give to the things she loved; people, animals and her lovely garden. We also appreciated her friendship with our family and especially my father, Paul. She will be missed but fondly remembered.

Our heartfelt condolences go to Erna’s son Walter and all her devoted friends in Victoria! Erna was a very special woman and we were very sad to hear of her passing! She was a great friend and she always welcomed us in her home whenever we visited in Victoria. She gave so much of herself to all her friends, including her animal ones. My father Paul was truly blessed to have Erna in his life! We really appreciate all she did for him! Our thoughts and prayers are with you all!
