Ethel was born Dec. 5, 1919 in Melville, Saskatchewan and passed away peacefully in Victoria on June 16, 2013. She was predeceased by husband Ken (1988) and brothers and sisters Paul, Robert , Alf, Charles , Don , Elsie, Audrey, Dorothy, Les, Clayton, and Doris. She is survived by daughter Judy (husband Bish) and grandson Kevin (Jenny) and son Ken (wife Tilly and grandchildren Ken (Stacey) and Leah. She is also survived by sisters Gladys, Marjorie and Lillian (Peter) and sisters-in-law Agnes, Isabel, and Julie.
Ethel spent many years farming with Ken in the Armstrong area in the Okanagan before retiring to Victoria in 1972. Since Ken’s passing, Ethel lived independently in Esquimalt before moving into the Oak Bay Lodge last year (our thanks to the Lodge’s staff for their care and support). She was warm and generous and loved by all who knew her and will be remembered for her welcoming hospitality by everyone who visited and shared in her life. Condolences may be offered below.
