1925 – 2011
Passed away peacefully at Glengarry Hospital in Victoria on January 18, 2011. Flo was born in Morinville, Alberta on March 5, 1925 and also lived in Barrhead until her teens when she moved to Victoria where she attended Oak Bay High. She began her working career at Oak Bay Theatre following which she married and had two children. She also enjoyed her years working for the The Bay as a decorator as well as working for the School Board. Flo is survived by her daughter, Donna MacLennan (Ken) of Edmonton; grandson, Wade Healey (Kelly); granddaughter, Serena Cooper; great-grandchildren, Madison and Payton, sister, Margaret Main and numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff at Glengarry Hospital for all their care.
A Memorial Reception will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at 2:00 pm in MCCALL’S FAMILY CENTRE, Johnson & Vancouver Streets, Victoria, BC. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated in Florence’s memory to the Glengarry Hospital. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.mccallbros.com.
