    To Barnes/Hamilton Families:

When I saw Aunt Fran’s picture in the KW Record today I was both saddened by Fran’s passing, and happy to remember special times spent with Aunt Fran and Uncle Dave Barnes in Waterloo, Ontario so many years ago! When I was dating Franny Hamilton, Fran’s niece, Fran and Dave were so kind and treated me with warmth and respect even though I was from a different background from them and came from “the other side of he tracks” so to speak.
They welcomed me into their home as part of their family, and I felt truly welcomed and loved! I will never forget that about them and will cherish those memories of time spent with them so many years ago.
God has truly blessed the many people that have crossed their path throughout their years spent both in Waterloo and Victoria BC. I consider myself one of the “Lucky Ones”, who was touched by these wonderful people. Love you Aunt Fran and Uncle Dave!

    Sincerely, Jim Curtis
