RAWNSLEY, Frances Mary (Walls) – Passed away peacefully on December 14, 2005 at Central Care Home. Mary was born in Victoria on November 26th, 1923 to Benjamin and Bernice Walls and was predeceased by her husband Raymond in 1991. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Neil, daughter Gail and husband Ron Fairburn of Vernon; grandchildren Ryan, Dawn, Channa and Laura; great grandson Riley; sisters-in-law Doris Whittet and Dinty Rawnsley and nieces and nephews. Mary attended Willows School and Oak Bay High before enjoying a long career in the fashion field as a model, retailer, and for many years as the fashion co-ordinator, special events supervisor and public relations manager for Eaton’s. Community work was a life long passion and included initiating the Uplands Ladies Heart Fund Golf Tournament and Victoria Hospice Corporate Swimathon. Her thoughtfulness, generosity and warm smile will be missed by all whose lives she touched. Special thanks to the nurses and care givers at Central Care Home.
Memorial Service will be held at MCCALL BROS. FLORAL CHAPEL, Johnson and Vancouver Streets, Tuesday, December 20th, at 1:00 pm. Reception to follow at Uplands Golf Club. Flowers are gratefully declined.
