PEECOCK, Francis Walter (Frank) May 23, 1928 January 13, 2005 Born in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan. Frank is survived by his wife Sylvia; son Murray; sisters, Frances Irene Jeffs and Gertrude Elizabeth (Betty) Bray; and by many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. He was devoted to and loved by Sylvia’s children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter. Predeceased by halfbrothers, Rex and Jack Peecock; his father Francis Walter Peecock in 1938; his mother Gertrude McKeiver Peecock (nee Murray) in 1977 and his first wife, Elizabeth Grace Peecock (nee Greenfield) on July 12, 1985. Frank had many fond memories of his early years on the ranch and a love of horseback riding After moving to Victoria in the late 1940’s he had his own construction company and built many beautiful homes throughout Greater Victoria. He was later employed by the Greater Victoria School District doing construction and maintenance. In the years following his retirement Frank and Sylvia had many memorable trips to Europe, Asia and South America. Frank worked devotedly for his church and was an active member of the South Van Isle Lion’s Club, receiving the Judge Brian Stevenson Fellowship for outstanding achievement and contribution to Lionism. He will be remembered with a deep sense of loss for his dedication to others, his kindness and his cheerfulness.
