Frank Evan Budd passed away peacefully at Lacombe, Alberta on Friday July 15 2005 in his 79th year, after a determined but brief battle with cancer. Predeceased in 1992 by his wife of 43 years and the love of his life, Dorothy. Now together again. Born in Topeka, Kansas. Worked as a U.S. merchant marine and met Dorothy during a stop in Victoria BC. Married in 1949. Worked for many years in shipyards in Victoria and Vancouver. Moved to Alberta in 1993 where he was happy and content, continuing his passion for building and ‘puttering’ with innumerable projects. Survived by his sister Frances Brown, and his three children Cheryl (Larry), Gary (Claudia) and Wayne (Linda). Grandchildren Chris, Jason, Dalen, Brittany and Lauren. His wisdom, sense of humour, love, and caring will be lovingly remembered, and dearly missed by all that knew him. Special thanks to the staff of Lacombe Hospital & Care Center for their care and sensitivity, and to Gerry Stimson and Corey Gish for being caring friends and trusted advisors. A private service will be held on July 22nd at Royal Oak Burial Park in Victoria. In lieu of flowers please support a charity of your choice.
