At 90 years of age Fred passed away peacefully on November 5, 2013 with family at his side. He was sharp until the end! He will be missed by his wife Gonnie; his four children and their spouses: Frits & Gwen, Rolf & Sharon, Saskia & Art, and Kristine; his seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and family in Holland. He was born and raised in Indonesia and spent his later school years and the war in Holland and immigrated to Canada in 1952. He lived much of his life on water and it was his passion: sailing, boating and fishing. He was a petroleum engineer. Thank you to Dr. Domke, the attending physician for many years, and all the caring staff at James Bay Centre.
