1918 – 2013
Joey passed away peacefully at the Royal Jubilee Hospital on July 27, 2013. She was predeceased by her first husband, Ollie Goldsmith, her second husband, Gordie and her four siblings. She is survived by her three children, Oliver Goldsmith, Ruth (Bernie) Simpson and Bruce Goldsmith and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Joey was born in Victoria where she spent her entire life. She worked as a florist for many years. Mom was very proud of her work as a floral designer, her family and long time friends.
A service will be held at McCall’s Downtown, Johnson & Vancouver Streets on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at 2:00 pm with a reception to follow in McCall’s Family Centre. Condolences may be offered to the family below.

Kathleen Manning I remember Joey and Gordie as long time friends of my mother and father, Hilda and Dick Meadows. They were part of that wonderful group who enjoyed life to the fullest.
The Meadows family lost our mother this past May. Joey, despite her own physical limitations, attended her Celebration of Life, with Ollie. I am grateful I had the opportunity to have a short visit with her then. She was a classy lady with a wonderful smile and laugh.
I would like to think that somewhere the McKerchars and Meadows are sharing a drink and many wonderful memories.
