It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gerry Hetherington. Gerry was born in Victoria, BC and was a long time resident of Cadboro Bay. He worked as a machinist at the Esquimalt Dockyard, prior to that he worked at Victoria Machine Depot and CPR. Predeceased by his wife, June, in 2008. He will be deeply missed by his daughters Junell (Charlie) and Karen (Geoff); granddaughters Nikki, Leanna and Jacki. The family wish to thank the staff and residents of Parkwood Place for their care and companionship over the last two years and the physicians and nurses at the Royal Jubilee Hospital and Victoria Hospice for making his final days peaceful and comfortable. A memorial service will be held on Monday February 22, 2010 at 1pm at McCall Bros. Floral Chapel, 1400 Vancouver St. Victoria BC V8V 3W3. Flowers gratefully declined. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of BC.
