With profound sadness the Hickman family announces that Godfrey Malcolm Hickman went to be with his Lord on Friday, July 23rd. Born in Dudley, England on January 6th, 1936, Godfrey immigrated with his family to Vancouver where he met and married his wife, Edith. For 28 years Godfrey owned and operated Hickman Jewelers in Langford with his brother, Don. As an active member of The Salvation Army, Godfrey enjoyed worshiping his Savior through the playing of the euphonium in the band. He was a great family man and took pleasure in many special family events. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Edith, son Jeff, grandson Sebastian, Dara Dwyer, son David (Laura), son Peter (Ruth), grandchildren Levi and Vivian, brother Paul (Brenda), brother Don, Derrick Mobey, nephews Kevin (Arlene), Cameron, Stephen (Jamine), Lorenzo, and Diego and many friends. “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Matthew 25:21
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Godfrey’s celebration service will he held at The Salvation Army Victoria Citadel (4030 Douglas Street) on Monday August 02 @ 1:00 pm. Condolences to be offered to the family at www.mccallbros.com.

We lived beside the Hickmans for many years while I was growing up, and I baby-sat the boys many times while Mr.Hickman was recovering from his open heart surgery years ago. I have and will always remember him & his family with fondness. Hugs to you all….George, Kiera & Charlene Kelln (nee Starkey) .

It was a privilege to have known Godfrey for so many years. He will be greatly missed. We know that there are no words that are really all that helpful for you right now, but we just want you to know that you are all very much in our thoughts and prayers at this time.
