Gordon Edwin Matthew Greaves

15 November 1937 – 8 July 2014

It is with profound shock and sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Gordon, a truly devoted family man; husband to Eileen and father to Stephanie (Steven), Nicholas (Aria), Kord (Courtney) and his beloved grandchildren, Nyla and William. Also left to mourn is his extended family in England.

Gordon touched the lives of many, and graced us with a quick wit, tremendous work ethic and a willingness to assist perfect strangers when necessary. He was an incredibly snappy dresser and a truly handsome gentleman. It can be widely agreed that he and Mum were a formidable team.

It is with heartfelt gratitude that we thank Dr. Matt Robinson and the caring nurses of ICU and 7North (Jubilee).

A celebration of Gordon’s life will be held at McCall’s Funeral Home on Friday, July 18th at 2:00pm.

Love you forever, Dad – you are a true GEM.

  4. I can’t say how sorry I am to hear of Gordon’s passing. A complete surprise to me. I will never forget the laugh and the smile that seemed to never leave his face. It seemed to make him happy to throw little shots at me when I would come in and even liked when I would throw them back. He is one of those special people you don’t forget as you go on with our lives. So sorry Eilleen, Steph, and Nick.

  5. Such a pleasure to work with Gordon, a rare true gentleman always. I miss you and that wicked sense of humour. “On the cell” Gord, “On the cell”
