Peacefully on January 13, 2009 in Victoria, at the age of 78 years. Predeceased by his first wife, Pat, he is survived by Joey, his loving wife of 37 years; his daughter, Cheryl McKerchar; two sons, Oliver (Nonie) Goldsmith and Bruce (Shelley) Goldsmith; daughter, Ruth (Bernie) Simpson; five grandchildren, Tom, Gina, Corrina, Jeff and Chris; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, three brothers and their families. Gordie created Victoria Floral Delivery and was well known throughout the City. A Service of Remembrance will be conducted by Mr. Gordon Thurston on Thursday, January 22nd at 3:00 p.m. in MCCALL BROS. FLORAL CHAPEL, Johnson and Vancouver Streets, followed by a reception in the Family Centre.
