The Lord took to Him our much loved father, grandfather (Pake), and great-grandfather, Harry, on November 6, 2011. He was born on May 26, 1920 in Friesland, the Netherlands. Predeceased by his daughter Patricia (Piety); his brothers Martin and Fopko; and niece Tineke Bijma. Survived by son Louw (Marilyn); son Sid (Karen); daughter Christine Milne (Dave); six grandchildren Louwrens (Amanda), Anna (Don), Megan (Joel), Andrew, Brandon, and Kylie; and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Griet Bijma in the Netherlands; sister-in-law Anna; and many nieces and nephews in Canada and the Netherlands. A special thank you to his friends and the staff of Luther Court for all their care and support.
A Memorial Service will take place at Luther Court Society, 1525 Cedar Hill X Road, on Monday, November 14, at 1:30 pm with Pastor Margaret Harper officiating. A reception will follow at Luther Court. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Patricia Olivier Memorial Fund at the Duncan Christian School, 495 Beech Avenue, Duncan, BC, V9L 3J8, or to the Luther Court Society, 1525 Cedar Hill X Road, Victoria, BC.
