On July 30, 2011, Heather went to be with her Lord and Saviour, far too soon for her husband of 32 years, Kevin King; her daughter, Erin DiBattista (Phil); grandsons, Noah and Jacob DiBattista; her sons, Dallas King ( Brittany ) and Matt and her mother, Connie Pringle. She is survived also by her brother, Frank Pringle (Barb ); sister, Barb Curran and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her father, Leslie Pringle. Heather was born in Port Alberni on February 26, 1957. She married the love of her life on July 28, 1979. Heather started her career as a Certified Dental Assistant until the birth of her first child in 1981. She wanted to stay home with her children so she ran a daycare and enjoyed the little ones for many years. She will be missed greatly by her family, many friends and extended family. Our loss is heaven’s gain. Well done good and faithful servant. Thank you to the hospital staff at VGH as well as Dr. Merali and Dr. Jones.
A Memorial Service will be held at Glad Tidings Church at 2:30 pm on Thursday, August 11, 2011. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to PAOC Heather King – Costa Rica c/o Glad Tidings Church, 1800 Quadra Street, Victoria, BC. V8T 4B9. This was Heather’s favourite mission. Heather first looked after our daughter, Maggie at the funeral of my mother and she went on to look after Maggie for the next 4 years. Heather looked after Maggie with such love and care. I could be away doing my job at sea knowing Heather was loving and caring for Maggie with all her heart. You made Maggie a part of your family. Because I lost my mother, Heather provided me the guidance, advice, and love I needed as a new mother and I could only hope to be half the mother she was. Goodness and love are words that describe Heather. What a wonderful woman she was. God is so lucky to have her.

Jo-Lee Bertrand Both the world and Heaven are a better place because of Heather. I can honestly say that I have never in my life met someone so caring, so unselfish and so wonderfully kind. I did not get the chance to know her nearly long enough. She was an amazing caregiver to my son Owen, who will remember her always.
