Passed away peacefully on Saturday February 10, 2024. Helen was born on August 13, 1930 and grew up in Walkerville, Ontario. She is survived by her children Allan, Barbara and Grant and his spouse, Rebecca Bishop, and she will be very much missed. Pre-deceased by her husbands Gordon Maclure and Hyman Richter, and son-in-law Peter Donato.
A long-time resident of Victoria, B.C., Helen had many friends who became welcome members of an extended family. Her life was a full one, with abiding interests in politics, the arts and the companionship of her dogs.
Many thanks to the caring staff of Luther Court who welcomed Helen and provided her with a stimulating and caring home environment during the last few months of her life.
A Mass of Christian Burial has occurred in Victoria. Interment will occur at St. Augustine’s Cemetery in Dundas, Ontario. Donations to Luther Court Society, 1525 Cedar Hill Cross Rd, Victoria, BC V8P 5M1 or to a charity of your choosing would be appreciated.
