MCKEE Irene Frances – Peacefully on January 11, 2010 at the Gardens at Qualicum Beach. She was born on July 22, 1914 in Calgary, Alberta. Predeceased by her husband, Charles “Ted” in 1993, Irene is survived by her son, James Edward of Regina; her daughter, Catherine Lillian (Ronald) Fletcher of Honeymoon Bay, BC; grandchildren, Jennifer, Patricia and Sara of BC and Taryn and Austin of Regina; her brother, James Moffatt of Verdun, MB; her sisters, Mary (Charles) Cowherd of Calgary and Vierlyn (Allan) Hampshier of Courtenay. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2010 at 1:00 pm in MCCALL BROS. FAMILY CHAPEL, Johnson and Vancouver Streets. Cremation entrusted to the Royal Oak Crematorium. Tributes, if desired, may be made to the Heart Fund, 107 – 1001 Cloverdale Avenue, Victoria, BC V8X 4C9.

I’ll always fondly remember Auntie Irene. We used to visit quite often when we were young children and we all lived by Grandma’s house. I remember getting locked in the bathroom and Irene getting one of the neighbors to climb in the window and get me out!!
Always loved and remembered.
