After 97 wonderful years, Irene passed away peacefully. Irene shared her life with her husband Ralph for 61 years until his passing in 1999, and with her daughter Grace Wake (Malcolm) until her passing in 2010. She is survived by her sister Frances McDormand (Gerry) and her son Earl (Viana), and also her grandchildren Mark, Peter, Kathryn, Cassandra and Andrew along with six great-grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces. The family is grateful for all those who assisted Irene in her final years.
A memorial service was held for Irene on Friday, June 21st at McCall’s Funeral Home in Victoria.
