I have known Iris many years through the local Huntington’s Disease support groups. She was very much loved and revered by all who knew her. Her stamina and determined independence to conquer the challenges of this disability left all of us so amazed at her capabilities and fortitude. Her life stories and homemade shortbread was especially enjoyed at meetings.

Our family sends love and blessings to her family and friends.
    She will never be forgotten,

    Gord, Gail, Lynn and family

Your mother was a wonderful and interesting lady that we meet while stationed at Pat Bay and later in Comox. Her determination in dealing with the everyday was something that will live inside me forever. She adopted my family as though we were her own and we will always treasure grandma Mac’s memory. Some of our most pleasant times in Victoria were spent having conversations and outings with her as we also got the chance to welcome her into our family as well. We too were lucky to have meet such a remarkable and welcoming lady who will be missed by anyone who got a chance to engage Iris. Hope you find comfort in the many memories and lives that her giving nature touched. I feel privileged to have encountered her in my lifetime. Harley
