June 14, 1949 – August 16, 2012

We are saddened to announce that Jim passed away after a brief illness at the age of 63. Born in North Vancouver, son of Bill and Doreen, he was the third of four children. From Morocco to Myanmar, Turkey to Thailand – Jim loved to travel with his wife Jill and had recently retired from his career as a bridge construction inspector to pursue this passion. He most enjoyed his time in Southeast Asia, particularly in Laos.

Pre-deceased by his father Bill and his sister Bev, Jim is survived by his mother, sister and brother, his wife Jill and his two sons Adam (Vanessa) and Ian.

Dad, Jim, Jimmy: We love you and miss you. Now and always.

A celebration of Jim’s life will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 2585 Dufferin Avenue in Oak Bay.
