Marg, we are so sorry to learn of Jim’s passing. We had been away, helping Libby with a new baby. When we returned we saw Jim’s obituary. He was such a lovely, hard working man. I admired the time he devoted to TACL and many benefited from his efforts. He was a help to us as we navigated the new world of “special needs”. We are sorry for your loss but take comfort in knowing Jim left the “special needs” world a much better place than he found it.

    Marg, Catherine and Ross
Jim was he a great professional, he was always cheerful and optimistic and always had an encouraging word when things got tough. He was easy to talk to, a real gentleman.
Barbara knew Jim and David from the Lab in Trail and saw that he was a caring and loving father.
Our hearts go out to you. He was one of a kind. Gone too soon!

Margaret, Catherine and Ross we are so sad that you lost such a wonderful part of your family (and ours). I recall how easy going and so filled with joy he was. He was also so down to earth and accepting of the whole famdamily – including my whole motley crew from Toronto. I have great memories of our big, loud family dinners in Victoria all together spilling half outside to fit us all. I aspire to reach the peace and wisdom he had achieved (from I surmise living well, being surrounded by love, and always being in integrity).

    Dear Mrs. Rees and family.

Please accept our dearest condolences on the passing of Mr. Rees. Our family new Mr. Rees from when our children attended the Children’s Development Center in Warfield in the 1980s and again from the Trail Association for Community Living, as well as our volunteer duties with both CDC and TACL.

Mr. Rees was a kind and gentle man who treated everyone with respect and grace. It was a privilege to get to know Mr. Rees. Mr. Rees insisted that we call him by his first name. We could never do that because Mr. Rees was such a respectful man, he deserved to be called Mr.

May the memories that you have of Mr. Rees give you comfort during this very sad time.

Sending our heartfelt condolences to all that had the great pleasure of knowing Mr. Rees.

    With deep sympathy and condolences,

Rob, Christette, Tara Cromarty and family, Trail B.C.

That’s so sad, Marg. Jim never really got to enjoy his new life in Victoria.
He was such a decent man and I so appreciated singing with him in the Harmony Choir.

    To Marg and Catherine,
I was shocked to see Jim’s photo and notice of passing in the paper.

My connection with him was through the Harmony Choir.

Marg, Catherine and Ross please accept our heartfelt condolences. Ken had the privilege of working with Jim for over twenty-five years. As a neighbour Jim was friendly and caring and always offered a wave as we drove by your house, he personally contributed so much to the Trail/Warfield community. We know he will be greatly missed.
