BELL, James Roy – Roy passed away peacefully at the age of 82 after a short illness in hospital on February 5, 2004 with family at his side. Roy was predeceased by his brothers, Andy and Gordon and leaves to mourn his brother, Stan (Joyce); niece, Corrine Bell; nephews and families, Kerry, Sandy, Robert, Walter, John; his aunt and uncle, Grace and Nick Nicholson; several cousins and his lifelong friend, Doug Woolley. Ray attended Cloverdale and Mt. View High Schools and was active with competitive basketball and cycling in those years. He was a butcher by trade and was proprietor of Craigflower Meat Market. All his life he enjoyed the outdoors – golfing, hunting, fishing and boating on the local lakes, rivers and ocean.

There will be no formal service, as per Roy’s request, cremation entrusted to Royal Oak Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations, if so desired, may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
