Joanne passed away peacefully at home in Victoria with family and friends at her side on March 8, 2016. She was born in Morris, Manitoba on July 27, 1963.
She is survived by her loving husband of five years, Augie Vaza; four sisters; two brothers and many extended family and friends.
Joanne was an adventurous free spirit who had a zest for life. She enjoyed the outdoors with her best friend, her dog, Roxy.
The family would like to thank the Oak Bay Fire Department, the Doctors and Nurses at Victoria General Hospital and the Palliative Care Team for their kind care and support.
A Celebration of Life will be held at McCall’s Downtown, Johnson and Vancouver Streets, on Friday, March 11, 2016 at 7:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC Cancer Agency, www.bccancer.bc.ca.
