My memories of Mac are the times we shared as directors on the Regional Board. Mac always responded in a rational and thoughtful way. Without adequate planning rural areas are often eroded away. Metchosin was rural and wanted it to stay that way. It did. Mac can have significant credit for that. It was always a pleasure to share post meeting discussions with Mac.
I aways get a positive feeling when I think of Mac,

    Dear Isabel and family:

Isabel, you and Mac must have had a very strong marriage because of the strong people that you were and are. It was always a delight meeting you together, being in your home and garden, and hearing Mac’s gravelly voice.

Mac’s “ironworks” create continuing memories of him in our gardens and at Glendale Gardens.

We’re thinking of you and Mac and your family,

Diane Pierce and Hector and Torben Bussiere
