Passed away in Victoria, BC on March 31, 2009. He was born in Ponta Garca, Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal on December 21, 1923. Survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Maria; his daughter, Terezinha; his son, John (Jodi De Medeiros); his grandchildren, Paulo, Steven, Junot, Johnny, Tatianna and Vianna and many extended family and friends. Ambrosio was a landscaper and rock worker whose greatest passions were music and his family, especially his grandchildren and god-children.

Prayers will be offered at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 4635 Elk Lake Drive, at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2009. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Church on Friday, April 3, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Entombment at Royal Oak Burial Park with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, #276 – 2950 Douglas Street, Victoria, BC V8T 4N4.
