DEMEDEIROS Jose left us suddenly on March 24, 2003. Joe was born at Agua d’Alto on the Azores Island of San Miguel on October 16, 1922. Predeceased by his first wife, Irene, and brother Manuel, he will be dearly missed by his siblings, Maria,Evangelina, Rosarinha and Antonio, second wife, Olive, children Tony (Christine), Mario, Grasiela (Tom), Denis (Eileen) and Ana (Al); as well as step-children Lorraine, Orton (Debbie), six grandchildren, and a large extended family. Joe was active in the Portuguese community and was proud to help build Our Lady of Fatima Church. He loved to play his guitar and keyboard, was an avid gardener, and a ‘model’ member of the Royal Victoria Costume Society. His fishing exploits are legendary. We will all miss the family cribbage tournaments. Service to be held at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 4635 Elk Lake Drive, on Friday, March 28 at 11:00 A.M. with reception to follow in the Parrish hall. Interment, Royal Oak Cemetery. Happy Fishing Dad we hope you catch the big one!
