Joyce was born August 19, 1928, in northern Alberta, growing up on a farm in Peace River country, where her family grew crops and raised sheep, pigs and turkeys. They had a few cows and chickens to provide milk, butter and eggs. Joyce was given a colt when she was four; she named her Sadie, spent much of her free time with her, and loved riding her.
Joyce liked to spend time outdoors and enjoyed taking long walks and tending her flowers. She also liked to dance, read and visit with friends.
Joyce died January 31, 2023 in Victoria BC and was predeceased by brothers Jim, John and Mike Reynolds, and son David Eurchuk. She is survived by daughters Terry Forster (Monte) and Susan Johnson (Jim Thomas), five grandchildren (Liza, Melanie, Emily, Brittany and Ashlin) and nineteen great-grandchildren.
Joyce was always a kind and loving mother, and gave her children the best childhood imaginable. We love her so much and miss her but know she is in a better place.
