    Dear Juan

I always enjoyed spending time with you and Heide. The sleep-overs with Heide and Sherry and you were always fun. Juan you had a wonderful heart. The best time was Christmas in Kelowna when we all played outside in the snow making the biggest snowman with all of us.

My condolences to Heide and Juan’s family.

  • Sherry Mackenzie

Juan you were my brother from another mother. You had such a kind heart, always thinking of others. I was honoured to hold your hand with Heide in your last hours. You are free. Your pain is gone. I will miss you my brother. My condolences to Heidi and Juan’s family.

My friend Juan has passed. He has no pain and for that I am so exceptionally happy. All those who I know that have met him, only speak praises of a great gentleman. I agree. I will not remember Juan from his last days, rather the day I stood barefoot in the snow with him, inappropriately attired. Rest in peace my friend. My condolences to Heide and Juan’s family.

Dearest Juan although you were far away you were never far from our hearts. I told you God doesn’t make mistakes. He called you home for a reason. I am comforted to know we will see you again. You were an inspiration for my writing and I will continue to do so in your memory. I never told you that you were the reason I was athletic because I wanted to be like big brother. A big part of the Olivares clan is missing but you will never be missed. Love you always- your little sister Patroni a.k.a the groovey.
